Why stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccination?
COVID-19 continues to circulate throughout the year, with higher activity typically seen in winter months. While most healthy adults recover well, the virus can cause serious illness in older people and those with underlying health conditions. Staying up to date with vaccination reduces the risk of severe illness, hospitalisation and long COVID.
COVID-19 vaccines are updated periodically to keep pace with new variants. At Cotham Pharmacy we offer both private COVID-19 vaccinations throughout the year and NHS seasonal booster doses for eligible patients from 1st October.
When can I get vaccinated?
The key difference between NHS and private COVID-19 vaccination is availability. Private vaccination is available all year round — NHS vaccination is seasonal.

Private COVID-19 vaccinations are available at Cotham Pharmacy throughout the year. No seasonal restrictions, no referral needed and same day appointments available.

Please note: Vaccination should be postponed if you are currently unwell with a significant fever. If you are pregnant, immunocompromised or taking certain medications please let our team know at booking so we can advise on the most appropriate vaccine for you.
